Christ Drive to A Street Flood Control

Project Description

Arnold, MO Christ Drive to A Street Flood Control

This project illustrates I&L’s roadway and residential flood control design capabilities. The City of Arnold retained I&L to develop solutions to reduce flooding and protect properties along Christ Drive and Maple Meadows Drive. Residents were experiencing roadway and yard drainage ponding and structure flooding problems.

The final design included 491 feet of 12-inch RCP, 1,057 feet of 36-inch RCP, 91 feet of 42-inch RCP, asphalt roadway and driveway pavement, curb and gutter, curb inlets, sanitary sewer, and utility relocation of a 60 foot long 8-inch water line to avoid conflict with the sewer system improvements. I&L was the lead firm providing project management, public meetings, resident coordination, alternatives analysis, design, final plans, easements, specifications, permitting, and bidding support services.
